City Hall News: Week of April 11, 2022

Meeting this week are council’s Public Safety Committee, Rules & Ordinances Committee, and ad hoc ARPA Advisory Committee.

Public Safety meets Monday at 10 a.m. In addition to hearing reports from the city’s public safety officials, the committee will consider a request from EFD to apply for a Leary Firefighters Foundation grant and hear about an LEA Mutual Aid Agreement.

The Rules & Ordinances Committee meets Wednesday at 9 a.m. to continue discussion of the need for regulation of parking in alleys.

Meeting Wednesday at 2 p.m., the ARPA Advisory Committee will consider community-submitted proposals for use of ARPA funds. More about City of Elkins ARPA funds, including expenditures to date: www.cityofelkinswv.com/arpa-funds.

This month’s regular meeting of the Personnel Committee, which usually meets on second Thursdays, has been cancelled.
