City Hall News: Week of August 8, 2022

Meeting this week are council’s Public Safety Committee, Finance Committee, and ad hoc Special Hiring Committee. The Elkins Water Board will also meet.

The Public Safety Committee meets Monday at 10 a.m. to discuss the Elkins Police Department’s proposal to install surveillance cameras throughout the city.

The Finance Committee holds a special-call meeting Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. to hear a request from the Randolph County Development Authority for funds toward its planned construction of an event center and multi-tenant commercial building in the Elkins Railyard.

The Special Hiring Committee meets Tuesday at 3 p.m. to review applications for the operations manager position, which was left vacant after the resignation of the incumbent July 1.

The Water Board holds a special-call meeting Thursday at 3 p.m. The agenda is not yet posted. This is a virtual meeting. Find login information here: www.cityofelkinswv.com/council-and-committee-meetings.
