Week 4 of Governor’s Reopening Plan: Indoor Dining at Restaurants and Other Changes

This week–Week 3 of Governor Jim Justice’s reopening plan–the governor announced plans for Week 4 to commence Thursday, May 21. Please note that he has yet to issue an actual order to this effect, so this is currently only a tentative plan.
On that date, if the governor issues the planned order, the following changes will go into effect:
- Indoor dining will be permitted at restaurants, with seating limited to 50 percent of normal occupancy (download guidelines here)
- Large/specialty retail stores will be permitted to open, admitting 2 customers per 1,000 feet of customer floor space (download guidelines here)
- State park campgrounds will reopen for use by West Virginia residents only (download guidelines here)
- The Hatfield McCoy Trail System will reopen (download guidelines here)
- Outdoor recreation rentals (e.g., kayaks, bicycles, boats, rafts, canoes, ATVs, and similar equipment) will be permitted (download guidelines here)
- Outdoor motorsport and powersport racing will be permitted, but with no spectators
