City Hall News: Week of September 5, 2022
City hall will be closed Monday, in observance of Labor Day. Trash normally collected Mondays will be picked up Tuesday, starting at 6 a.m. The only meeting scheduled for this week is that of the Elkins Tree Board.
The Tree Board meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The board will plan for a workshop with a representative of the West Virginia Department of Forestry, consider projects for spring of 2023, and discuss potential changes to the board’s structure.
To avoid shut-off, overdue utility accounts must be brought up to date no later than Tuesday. Quarterly Fire & Rescue Service Fees for properties outside city limits must also be paid no later than Tuesday to avoid penalty.
